ANCHORS & CHAIN

Greger Pacific Marine stocks a variety of Anchors & Chain both Danforth and Navy stockless of sizes ranging from 150 lbs to 15 tons. GPM Anchors are primarily available in San Francisco Bay area for local projects. Yet we welcome all opportunities to supply your company with the gear you need.

Holding Power for the two most widely used Anchors are as follows:

Stockless Type Anchors, in sand, develop a holding power to weight ration of seven to one. In mud they develop three to one. The angle of penetration in both cases is 45 degrees.

Danforth Type anchors, in sand, develop a holding power to weight ration of twenty to one, with the angle of penetration being 30 degrees. In mud they develop nine to one with the angle of penetration being 50 degrees.

The depth of penetration in all preceding cases is compiled from three to seven feet in sand, and from seventeen to twenty feet in mud. All calculations incorporate a 0 degrees scope angle.

DIESEL MECHANICAL DECK WINCHES

Greger Pacific Marine has in stock a variety of Double & Triple Drum Winches available for rent.

Our Winches are self contained and come with manual or air operated controls.

The Winches are used by Contractors for anchoring Barges or operating Spud’s on Barges. Also projects where it is necessary to pull Pipelines in Trenches or Tunnels.
